Anne Kraft was born in Berlin. After graduating from high school, she came to America through some happy coincidences and completed her acting training in New York City at "Circle in the Square Theater School", which is connected to the Broadway Theater.

After a serious accident falling down a flight stairs in New York, Anne had to take a break from acting due to various surgeries until she fully recovered. Since she had a lot of time to think while lying down, she decided to start Stand Up Comedy after this time, because what's funnier than to continue with "stand up" after "laying down". She started in Los Angeles and has performed at the Comedy Store and the Hollywood Improv, then in New York City at Gotham Comedy Club and the Comedy Cellar, and then in her hometown of Berlin at Quatsch Comedy Club. She had her own show called "Trapped in the prison of good mood" for years at the Comedy Club Kookaburra.

When the Covid lockdown came and with it no more live performances, Anne decided to quit Stand Up and devote herself fully to acting and writing again and wrote the screenplay for the 16-minute short film "No Kidding", which she also produced and starred in.
Due to the great success, there was a demand to make a series out of NO KIDDING.

Anne Kraft is currently developing it into a TV series and through various film festivals she has already been invited to pitches with American producers and showrunners of various streaming channels.
The short film „No kidding“ is a comedy from Germany. What?? You may say, a COMEDY from GERMANY??
Well, sometimes strange things happen… it won at the Paris Short Film Festival not only „Best Comedy“ but also the Jury Prize as well as the Audience Award for the „Best Short Film“. And even in the U.S it won „Best Romantic Comedy“ at the Houston Comedy Film Festival.
„No kidding“ is about a woman in her late 30’s who discovers her own expiration date as a woman and has to decide whether she is going to freeze her eggs or not… On the search whether life is happier with or without children, the film asks questions like: Can you plan happiness and does always using every option available make life better? Or do you stick with the old John Lennon statement: „Life is what is happening when you are busy making other plans?“
Anne Kraft wrote, produced and is the main actress in this film.
Having been a Stand Up Comedian for 13 years, when COVID hit, she created and developed this film during the lockdown. „No kidding“ is a celebration of awkwardness and authenticity in the most human and vulnerable moments in life where we make our decisions that may shape our destiny.
